Some adjustments were made to balance the delay along Mt. Vernon westbound and Chamblee Dunwoody southbound late August. Based on REGIONAL INTEGRATED
TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION SYSTEM (RITIS) analysis additional adjustments are underway to achieve balanced delay along the various approaches to this intersection. Ultimately, there are too many vehicles attempting to cross the intersection of Mt. Vernon at Chamblee Dunwoody and the signal timing will not be able to resolve the queuing that exists along multiple approaches to this intersection.

Well, that may be a factor, but if you are waiting multiple minutes to cross Mt. Vernon, in off-peak times, what is happening at Chamblee-Dunwoody Road (1/2 mile away) is not relevant. Just allow the intersection to accept "on demand" crossing of Mt. Vernon in off-peak times and we will all be happier.
