In response to your e-mail today " Has the problem been fixed", concerning rail crossing on Robinson Church road, the answer is no. There was an article in today's paper concerning the proposed fixing several rail crossings in Harrisburg, but it gave very little detailed information.

It might behoove members of town council and others, who are in power, to drive across the aforementioned rail crossing, to see first hand the problem that hundreds of drivers deal with each day. The traffic has greatly increased since new developments have been constructed on the subject road.

Would like to see the Norfolk and Southern railroad take some action to correct the problem.

It is now TWO YEARS later and the situation has only gotten worse. The NC rail authority has this crossing slated for eventual closure but that is going to take at least another year or more as they have to widen nearby roads and build two new bridges. Even worse, there are actually TWO crossings at this location, the mainline and a repair siding and the last time the mainline was repaired they did NOTHING to the repair siding which was already in worse shape than the mainline they repaired!
