A few more ideas: lower the speed limit on Mt Lucas Rd to 25 mph to match the limits on Jefferson, Terhune, Valley, etc; use rumble strips on Jefferson as drivers approach Mt Lucas intersection from both sides of the intersection to slow traffic enough for stopped motorists to see, hear and react to the through traffic; enforce the speed limits on Jefferson.

Perhaps a small island for pedestrians on Jefferson would be helpful. People would slow down and it would give people crossing a safe place to wait if somethings the stop sign.

Please don't add any more miscellaneous signage to that area. Please review the out of date, confusing and misleading signs first. As the homeowner who has lived at that intersection for 34 years, I'd like to discuss our ongoing observations before resorting to more signs.
