  I hope that you treat this request as an emergency and fix these lights immediately! That poor person was probably seriously injured and I can’t imagine how the driver was even able to see him. I’m sure that the area being well-lit would have made a huge difference in the driver being able to see the pedestrian.

  I second this report. The street lights in Berkeley are not providing the visibility they are intended to provide. I realize that the lights have been discovered to be inadequate by the city, and that the manufacturer has committed to providing replacements, but WHERE are those replacements? Please increase the priority of this issue. As a driver, cyclist, and pedestrian, I urge Berkeley to fix this asap. When I drive into Oakland at night, suddenly I can see everything again.
