There are screws popping up on the boardwalk by Grove Street and a few soft boards in that area.

This was previously reported on ID 6035539 on 6/15/19 an assigned to the DPW and nothing was done.

There also other raised screws and some broken planks on the small boardwalks on the walking paths within Powers Farm

The walking paths could also use some more stone dust on them.

I do not believe that much maintenance has been done to the infrastructure since the park was built besides emptying the trash cutting the grass and hay field.

This is a great spot but it needs to be maintained better and done in a timely manner so that it can be repaired instead having to be rebuilt.
If there is not a maintenance plan there should be one.

The Clerk for the Conservation Commission went down on Tuesday October 8th and screwed down all planks on the boardwalks that go over the swales on the walking path. Please send picture if one of the walkway was missed. Thank You

OK thanks for the update. There were also some cracked planks on some of the small ones and raised screws on the at the beginning of the large boardwalk on Grove St. next to the Elene Ramano Stone.
I will check this weekend and get back to you.

Why not replace broken/warped planks with recycled plastic ones - these should last much longer.

Thank you for keeping us in the loop on the progress of the maintenance. A proper clear sealant would have been a good way to prolong the life of the boardwalk.

This situation is currently being reviewed and assessed for repairs by the building commissioner

I've been in touch with the original contractor and they are going to be coming out when the weather get's better to refasten the loose boards. I will be monitoring the project going forward
