Description

The entire corner of 43rd Avenue NE and Cherry was completely flooded after a small amt of rain AND this picture was taken after many hours of it NOT raining. This is UNACCEPTABLE. This is standing stagnant water. We have families around here!!!! We try and walk our pets here! We have kids playing outside - and we have to worry about mosquito infested water in front of our homes? What is going on here? Why is no one coming out to fix the flooding? This isn't NORMAL flooding. This is due to a poorly done job in the first place and lack of PROPER storm drains. Moreoever the alley blading in back of my home (separately reported issue) was apparently "not fixable" because it was 'graded wrong in the first place". UM - yeah, that's why I reported it! WE didn't do a poor job - the city did a poor job and I would think that they should actually FIX it not throw their hands up saying there is nothing that can be done. YES THERE IS. We pay taxes for this very thing! I am getting very angry about the lack of care or concern for our area. NOTHING ever gets done around here by the city.
