Our agency has responded to several inquiries regarding the edge of roadway at this location. Unfortunately, the city-owned public right-of-way ends essentially were the white edge line is, and the subject area that permission and improvements are being requested to walk across is actually on private property and not subject to public use (see attached image). Obviously, the City would like to acquire the needed 6' or so of right of way on this parcel and the adjacent parcel so that a public sidewalk can be installed, and dedicated on public property as is the remainder of the area. The adjacent property has a sidewalk, but it is on their private property. If the site undergoes a site plan or plat change, the owner will have to dedicate and build a sidewalk.
We can investigate if any code violations are going on based on the type of parking be implemented by the business, but it does not change the fact that persons would technically be trespassing if they were to use the businesses' parking area as a sidewalk. We will also investigate if any signage may be appropriate due to the sidewalk termination.
We thank you for taking the time to report this.

***CORRECTION: In our investigation with Code Enforcement and Community Development, it was discovered that the subject area of property along Ramsey Street had been deeded to the City as additional right-of-way. A deed conveying additional R.O.W. was identified which updates the info provided by the Fulton County Property Assessor. Therefore, some of the parking that is occurring by the business establishment is technically on the public right-of-way of Ramsey Street and is a code violation. Code enforcement action is pending, and Roswell DOT staff will locate the right-of-way and mark/stripe the area as an accessible pedestrian path connecting the adjacent sidewalks.
We apologize that our initial information was incorrect, and appreciate your continued questioning of the situation.

but declined to post another picture, because the first information are not according to logic,
In different times I try to do public the violations, but looks like the code enforcement officer have a great friendship relation with the owner of the place , and do not acting , in different times the car shop sell cars in the public area ,and put in danger to the pedestrian

We have striped the pedestrian walk area on the available pavement, and are aware that code enforcement is monitoring the situation there, so hopefully you will see an improvement. Our staff also talked to the business owner to explain the situation and I am optimistic we will get cooperation on compliance with keeping the walk area clear.
Thanks again for your reports.
