I've had this experience as well. Not excessively, but when it happens it's extremely annoying.

Extremely annoying to live in this area. The car horns are blowing to force drivers to turn on red. Any hour of the day/ night. Angry drivers are inpatient enough. I have been harassed by speedy horn blowing drivers to pull in my driveway so they can blow thru the light
The speed is 25 mph Pls do something.

Please everyone take a deep breath and follow the rules of the road a right turn on red is permitted unless it states otherwise no turn on Red. What is so confusing about that?

What about the yield sign. There is no stop required unless you're impeding oncoming traffic. Which one rules at this intersection?

Good afternoon Steve, if there is a vehicle approaching the intersection before you get there, you must yield and in some cases it might require you to stop completely.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but the rules of the road are not the issue. The issue is the conflicting signs at the intersection. If the traffic signal is the ruler there then remove the yield sign, if not either face the traffic signal more to the lanes heading from Jefferson to Loring or Canal St. or shroud it so it's not visible to the cars heading onto Loring toward Swampscott, or disconnect or remove the bulbs to eliminate the confusion. If the light is red then you must stop, but if it's not meant for the vehicles heading on to Loring towards Swampscott and the yield sign is then it needs to be attended to in some way. If you'd like I will meet you there to see if there is another solution .

Unfortunately nothing has been done. I sat through the same aggravating situation the for the umpteenth time the other day. Remove the bulbs from the signal and rectify the situation once and for all. The state will never admit they screwed up once again.

Stop blowing car horns slow down stop harrassing ppl that live here we didnt want this mess. Slow Down Yield Stop at red lights State will do nothing

This doesnt allow inpatient.drivers to drive up on ppls lawns & city sidewalks to go around the car stopped at red light pls dont remove red light the drivers who dont stop are already going way to fast. Its dangerous to live here anyone want to buy a house ?

The rules iof the road are to stop on RED end of story cars are approaching way too fast to possible yield anyways blowing horns at cars who do slow down ieven stop at RED lught bc cars ARE approaching this very busy intersection and rppl live here forget crossing street cars dont STOP for pedestrians SLOW down and STOP the horns day & night un ppl LIVE here.
