When can the State or City do something about the traffic signal at the corner of Jefferson and Loring when traveling from Jefferson to Loring toward Swampscott that has the yield sign. Can the signal be turned to the left for the lanes exiting to the left or disconnected or the bulbs removed so that people don't stop if the light is red and no cars coming on Loring Ave. Could some kind of a shroud be placed on the lenses that would shield them from the cars taking a right onto Loring. I've been stopped many times behind vehicles taking a right, but stop because the light is red. It can be very confusing.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but the rules of the road are not the issue. The issue is the conflicting signs at the intersection. If the traffic signal is the ruler there then remove the yield sign, if not either face the traffic signal more to the lanes heading from Jefferson to Loring or Canal St. or shroud it so it's not visible to the cars heading onto Loring toward Swampscott, or disconnect or remove the bulbs to eliminate the confusion. If the light is red then you must stop, but if it's not meant for the vehicles heading on to Loring towards Swampscott and the yield sign is then it needs to be attended to in some way. If you'd like I will meet you there to see if there is another solution .
Thanks
