Description
Traffic signal at vermack and Mt Vernon is over 4 minutes long. Need to shorten. We wait on either Manhasset or Vernack way too long.

Thank you for letting us know about this intersection. We are still evaluating this corridor for traffic pattern changes with the new signal and are continuing to modify the signal timing plans. Going forward we plan that the longest wait time for green on Vermack will be 150 seconds or less in the heaviest periods.
Thank you for your patience, and thank you for using SeeClickFix!

Thanks! At night it is also horrible. I’m guessing there is no sensor there because coming up vermack and trying to cross over to Manhasset takes so long most of the neighbors usually just run the light. That is they wait until there is no traffic in either direction and just go. If sometime approaches the light at, say, 1030p or later, you just wait and wait and wait.
150 seconds would be a huge improvement. Even at night.
Many of the side streets have similar issues but this one is by far the worst.
Thank you for your efforts!
