I think all graffiti should be wiped out regardless of messaging, although will admit I do personally take offense to them endorsing Bernie Sanders, a socialist, given that I am originally from a socialist country and many of my family members were mu.r.d.3.r.e.d. by socialists (along with millions of other ethnic ukrainians and other various groups who had to die from an artificial famine called holodomir, something that people like Sanders wants to bring to America in the 21st century). I would still want the graffiti wiped out even if it was endorsing a capital1st who I actually support, though.

why am I not surprised that our thoroughly worthless and corrupt city government can't even clean some chalk off the ground? why does this not even surprise me anymore?

oh and by the way i know who did this vandalism too, he was posting on facebook bragging about it. unfortunately scf admins censored my post showing the screenshots. its the same guy who showed up at the town hall meeting not long ago threatening to sell pot brownies to kids because the martial arts school didn't want him opening a dispensary next door to them. look him up. you can probably find his facebook post if your google-fu is strong enough. unfortunately i cant post it here because the scf admins are trying to protect him.

look up the facebook page for alameda bernie sanders and you should be able to find his post there in the user posts where he has a photo of his vandalism at marina village bragging about it and encouraging other people to bring chalk and join him in vandalizing our community with endorsements of bernie sanders

thanks to the corrupt scf admins and corrupt city officials the guy who vandalizes our city will never be fined and will keep getting away with it. we will spend months trying to get his graffiti cleaned up and then he will just come back the very next day and tag it all up again. he will never face consequences for his vandalism because SCF admins are actively protecting him and censoring my comments showing screenshots of him bragging about vandalizing alameda on facebook.

well it looks like they're still ignoring my request but in a separate request opened about a month after I submitted this one reporting the exact same problem, they finally responded claiming it was cleaned up. Of course they did this on my issue too and it turned out to be a lie, so i'm hoping they did it for real this time. sadly it looks like the city has decided to indefinitely ignore my request here so its unlikely that they'll post any further updates to inform us at what the resolution was. hopefully someone else can confirm that they actually finally cleaned this up after several months and multiple people complaining about it on SCF.

So just an update folks, since no one else wanted to do I went down there to confirm for myself whether or not the graffiti has actually been removed. I was able to confirm that his graffiti at Jean Sweeney Park, Marina Village Shopping Center and Park Street. has been cleaned up.

However, I did see that on Challenger Drive, between Marina Village Parkway and Atlantic Avenue, there is a new Bernie Sanders advertisement left by none other than Phillip Redd.

Now if the city could just cite Phillip Redd (aka "Cannado.u.c.h.e" - nicknamed by Alamedans after his stunt at town hall threatening to sell pot brownies to kids because they didn't want to let him open up a dispensary next door to the martial arts academy) for vandalizing half of Alameda with unsolicited Bernie Sanders endorsements and then bragging about it on the Alameda Bernie Sanders facebook group, and even continuing to do it after we had the city clean his graffiti up, that would be terrific!

Also for reference the user who identifies themselves as "Red Reeney" on facebook is Phillip Redd's wife and accomplice in vandalizing Alameda.

In the time since I last commented on this issue (October 11th, 2019), Phillip Redd returned to this location and vandalized the sidewalk at the AC transit stop at the corner of Atlantic and Challenger.

In my separate request (https://seeclickfix.com/issues/6811591), which I submitted on October 11th following the appearance of additional graffiti from Mr. Redd and his associates since the city is still refusing to cite him and allowing him to continue vandalizing our community with unsolicited Bernie Sanders endorsements, Alameda Public Works Admin Gail Carlson fraudulently closed my request lying claiming that they cleaned it up. Both of the pieces of graffiti I reported in that request are still there to this day and they are attempting to sweep the problem under the rug without even attempting to address it.

He also chalked the words "Green new deal" on the sidewalk between Santa Clara and Lincoln on Park street, on the east side. Thanks for continuing to let him vandalize Alameda, not citing him, and not cleaning up his graffiti.

Gail Carlson closed my other request for the second time in a row today lying claiming they cleaned up the graffiti. I just confirmed about 20 minutes ago that the graffiti is still there and they have not cleaned it up. Here is the photo I took today, about 20 minutes ago, proving that it is still not cleaned up.

It is very disturbing to me that 83 days later the city is still refusing to clean up the graffiti and cite the vandal.

The other day they also put an automatic nonsensical auto-censor on my account again, seemingly at random and unprovoked, so I had to register a new account to resume using the site (all comments I post from my previous account now become "Content blocked by rejections" regardless of content)

They completely wiped out the body of my other request that was fake-closed twice by Gail Carlson, so now you can't even read the text and they deleted the image I posted too. https://seeclickfix.com/issues/6811591

They're basically trying to protect the vandal from legal consequences, from being publicly identified as the vandal that he is even though he's already made his activities public on Facebook, and also cover up and censor my graffiti removal requests.

Even Oakland, as bad as it is, never did this to me. This is a new level of depravity from our city government, never before seen. Didn't think Alameda could actually stoop lower than Oakland. That's an achievement!

Also make sure you snapshot this page because at any moment they might step in, start deleting comments, delete the original request text body, delete images, etc. Sometimes they can do this in such a way that you'll never even know unless you compare the page to a snapshot taken of it previously. Stay extra vigilant on the Alameda seeclickfix website folks, the government in this town is a lot more evil than other cities and they take extreme measures to deceive the public, lie, cover up crime and disorder in Alameda, censor dissidents, etc. They work really hard to manipulate the city's public image. This whole site was just a publicity stunt. They couldn't care less about fixing anything.
