Description
The residents along Voorheis find it very difficult to pull out of their own neighborhoods during high traffic volumes. Also, drivers (non-residents) cut through neighborhoods, speeding, during these times regardless of what signs say.

This section of Voorheis is primary public road. The Road Commission cannot legally restrict traffic on Voorheis. Nor does the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (the "bible" of traffic control in Michigan) recognize the legitimacy of "local traffic only" signs, which are also unenforceable. Therefore, the Road Commission does not erect these signs.
