Thanks for the link. 33MPH in a 25MPH zone and still getting passed though in context of what happened later that offense doesn't seem so bad.

What they do in UK is they have things affixed to the lights so they get an automatic ticket for going through lights without having the police there 24/7. All over London they also have lines drawn so they can measure how fast you were going as they also have them for speeding. Its after 4 tickets you lose your license for a year and if it continues you lose your license permanently. It’s so hard to cross the street nearer to the Honda dealership as well. People seem to fly down the parkway. I’ve seen many accidents and many animals get killed. I don’t think they will ever adopt this idea though. I’ve mentioned it to one of the city councilors already and same answer ( it’s state property)

Red light and speed cameras are not allowed by law in our state because you are supposed to be able to face your accuser - not so in case of a camera. But then some jurisdictions in other states start mucking with the yellow light timing so it's a double-edged sword. The state would make a loooot of money though if they put up some cameras or at least ticketed people for blocking the box.
Also, the fines are ridiculously low. HOV lane violation on 93 is $50. In California it's $400+ (for running reds as well) and quite well advertised by signs. Makes one think twice.

But this state is too car/driver friendly.
