The narrow width of Roble and the fact that is is used a throughway for a moderate amount of traffic means that there is a good amount of traffic on this street during commute times, often exceeding the speed limit. While a Yield sign may help, I think that an even more effective safety measure would be to put speed bumps on Roble as there are no stop signs. It is dangerous coming out of driveways, unable to see beyond parked cars if there is traffic. A driver entering Roble has to nose their car into the street to even get a glimpse of crossing traffic.

On Menlo Ave, there's a similar problem: Heavy traffic, obscured by street-parked cars adjacent residential exits:
If a SUV or other large vehicle is parked to the left of a residential exit, the driver cannot see oncoming traffic. (Please make our Downtown Streets safer.)

On Menlo Ave. at Chestnut, the white stripes of the pedstrian walk are grayed out in the middle of the street. This is a difficult intersection at the corner of Trader Joe's buildidng, Please refresh the grayed-out stripes in the middle fot the street, so that drivers can better see that this is a pedestrian crossing!

After evaluation through CA MUTCD standards and guidelines, it is found that the intersection does not warrant installation of a Yield sign. Staff will continue to monitor the intersection for changes to traffic patterns.

Note: it need a "pedestrian crossing ahead" sign (or similar sign) to get vehicles to SLOW DOWN as they approach the crosswalk.

The addition of a pedestrian crosswalk sign is not warranted without the presence of a crosswalk at the intersection. Through the City's Crosswalk Policy, staff has determined that the intersection does not warrant installation of a crosswalk for the following reasons
- does not meet the # of pedestrians crossing during the hour of highest activity
- nearest appropriately marked crosswalk is not atleast 300 ft away
