722 Romence Road, Portage, MI 49024. White van parked on lawn, west of house and butting up to the rear yard. Van has been in that position for well over one year. Latest response from City of Portage was "...van inspected and determined to be operable and properly parked in January, 2019..." The "Portager", dated August, 2019, states where motor vehicles cannot be parked on private property. Also, City codes/ordinances, Section 24-113 specifically states the same. In effect, motor vehicles cannot be parked on a lawn, unless they are parked in an enclosed structure or on an improved/uniform driveway surface, consisting of either concrete, asphalt or gravel. It also addresses inoperable and/or not licensed, if so, it must be stored within a completely enclosed garage or other structure.
Since this van has been parked in the same location for well over a year, has not moved, I am sure does not have current license plates/tags, has weeds growing around and underneath it, and has been reported many times before, please address this issue.
