I agree. The truck uses this spot as a regular option after having not been ticketed over the last year or so. There are 5 or 6 cars and trucks that use O'Connor St. for the night at the least a couple of times a week. O'Connor St. and Byers Drive need concentrated attention from Menlo Park for several weeks to let people know this is not an option.

Once AGAIN this morning. 7am, this time. This truck was parked 10 feet from my bedroom window and fired up followed by 5 minutes of 'warming up' at high idle. WAY over acceptable noise levels. Given the lack of tickets on the other half dozen cars on the street a few minutes later, I'm assuming the truck was not ticketed. This has to stop. BTW, this was first reported and 'closed' on January 29th. https://seeclickfix.com/issues/5338845 The failure to routinely enforce overnight parking in general has been reported by multiple people multiple times via this system, via calls to dispatch, via discussions with our councilmember. It does not stop. It will not stop if we can't get persistent enforcement until it stops. A ticket sweep on the cars that happen to be there every few weeks is not a deterrent to show that there is a law.

Can we get an update on enforcement and confirmation that MP is still interested in enforcing the law they have on the books about overnight parking?

As of 8 pm on 8/28 he is parked again on Byers right outside our bedroom window as he was yesterday. So I expect to hear him idling the truck again for 10 minutes at 7 am net morning. Please enforce the overnight parking in our neighborhood at the end of O'Connor on a regular bases. It is rare to wake up in the morning to an empty street. There are usually 3 - 5 cars parked overnight. But the truck and the noise of it early in the morning (not to mention the diesel fuel stench wafting through the windows, is the worst.

Yeaaaa! Action last night. WAY too many cars and Semi on the street but all of them on Byers had tickets. (mix on O'Connor)

We’ve asked about this before. There one truck on O’Connor that is always parked outside overnight. We would get a ticket and they don’t.
