Description
Very heavy vegetation/tree at SW corner of Hitchingham-Textile roundabout severly limiting NB Hitchingham drivers from seeing EB Textile and vice versa. Compare with sightlines from other 3 corners and all 4 corners of nearby Stoney Creek-Textile roundabout. Previous complaints have resulted only in cursory trimming which does not resolve the issue. Again, compare

Emailed resident on 10/09/19 - I spoke with the district foreman and he confirmed that the remaining area of concern (behind the fire hydrant) is just on the edge of the road right-of-way and that we can’t mow back any further than we already have. The area beyond the road right-of-way is private property that we do not have the jurisdiction to maintain.
Our district foreman has driven the intersection and the sight distance is appropriate for the speeds that people should be using the roundabout, approximately 15 mph. If anyone is seeing unsafe driving behavior, like excessive speeds, please contact local law enforcement. If you have any questions, please contact me directly (734) 327-6646.
