Thank you for reporting your concern to City of Cambridge via Commonwealth Connect. We have reviewed the information you provided our staff and will be investigating this issue further.

Thank you for posting. To address this public health problem: 1) Owners and landlords need to clean up litter and food waste left in front of their properties (currently some do, others don't). 2) the City needs to enforce the ordinance to that effect (it doesn't). 3) the City, neighborhood organizations, and Council members can mobilize new civic anti-littering campaigns; and 4) if #1-3 are not sufficient, the City will need commit resources to sweep more frequently than once a month in this and other dense urban neighborhoods of Cambridge.

This area streets are swept twice per month. We will send our Compliance Officers to the area to look at proper trash storage and will put this area on their list for closer attention and follow up.

Public Works - MO (Solid Waste) assigned this issue to Inspectional Services - AT (Admin)

Closing this issue per Public Works comment on 8/29 about the steps they are taking to address this.
