Work Order Completed in Infor by 135420 on 2019-08-30T14:05:18.000-05:00 with comments - This intersection has two light rail transit (LRT) tracks running north/south and curving to east/west next to the intersection. These tracks cross traffic lanes next to the intersection. Due to safety requirements the signal timing is modified when trains are approaching or traveling through the intersection. This modification can result in short green times for the approaches that do not run with the light rail. The current traffic signal control software lacks the sophistication to vary which approach receives a green light following LRT operation. Currently City of Houston Traffic is working with a vendor to develop new software that should provide the green to the approach waiting the longest following LRT interruption. This updated software is planned to be deployed within the coming year.
