Description
We have ash trees on our street that belong to the town. They are dying from an infestation of emerald ash borers, according to an arborist who has examined them. There are two that are completely dead, and the rest have dead limbs. He said they could fall over at any time and not to park under them. Some of them are 35' tall and would cause a lot of damage if they fell. We have a lot of kids riding bicycles here, and many people, including myself, walk their dogs on the sidewalks. I wouldn't want to have anyone injured or killed by a falling tree. Nor do I want to have tree crash through my roof in the middle of winter. I don't want to be an alarmist, but the arborist thinks it is a pretty serious situation. I e-mailed the tree warden, Mr. Greene, last week but have not heard from him. Thank you for your prompt attention. Joseph Yarbrough, 203-562-3946, e-mail kyarbrough@pennypublications.net
