Description
Multiple street lights are out in the Union Point Marina Parking lot and ALL the lights along the rail alongside the water (part of the park?) are out, creating a very unsafe nighttime situation for boat owners moving from their cars to the locked gate of the marina. Given the situation with the homeless encampment in the parking lot and park and surrounding areas- the very least we need is full lighting to maintain safety.

and was connected with Bob Gay 510-777-2301
He says they're setting up live screen traps to catch the rodents, mostly at south end of the park. Can't use poison because of remaining homeless encampment and their pets. at the north end He will talk to the person that covers this area and ask him to give the marina residents a box of rodent snap traps when they come out at the end of the week or early next week.
He said that Feils- a mild form of Rickettsia (fleaborne Typhus) has been found in some fleas on rats in Oakland - he's not sure of the lab results for Union Point.
