I took The BART to my 92-year-old parents home. I fell because the sidewalk was lifted in front of a restaurant on 43rd St. & Telegraph
I am 72 years old, I weigh 90 lbs. My doctor has asked me not to fall And I have been so so so careful. I have osteoporosis.
My ribs and my knee are not broken.
However, I just know my body will take a long time to heal if it does. I am unable to sleep on my ribs or turn at night and I can not use my knee properly And I certainly can’t stand on it first when going down stairs.
I am so disappointed I lost my grandmother she was 99 when she passed because she broke her hip on Oakland sidewalk and she never came out of her home after that.
I’m just wondering if I’m gonna die this way too.
