But the smell has been occuring here for months prior, and still again. So there must be other sewage pipes broken in the area. Going down Day street towards Chapel, in particular in front of the Funeral home, there is an INTENSE odor of feces. Also near the Orchard/George street corner there is a foul odor. Months ago there was some attempt at working on the sewage lines in this neighborhood but it clearly was not resolved.

The corner had a plumbing line break and flooding last week, causing the smell. It has since been repaired. If you continue to have issues next week, please post again.

This has been an ongoing issue for several months. Another large/main sewage line on Dwight and George street is broken/being repaired at the moment too. The smell that has been heavy all weekend is a pre-existing one - going back well beyond one week - for months actually. It was mentioned and attended to in January 2019 via seeclickfix but obviously not totally resolved. There may be more than one broken or clogged sewage pipe in the area - especially if a main pipe is having issues. I just want it resolved completely this time.

The Greater New Haven W.P.C.A. responded to this complaint today and flushed the lines on Day St. into George St. There were no signs of a backed-up system. The Authority's system in this area is flowing with no obstructions. The repair is taken place further away from this reported area and should not cause this odor. The smell is back - in front of the funeral home - 543 George Street - emanating from in front of the establishment.

I was walking my dog this morning and when I reached the Day street corner near the funeral home, there was a very strong sewage smell coming from the street grate..it was kind of shocking how strong it was.

Same smell has returned (or has never left)
