Description
The entrance to Gorman Plantation at Middle Sound Loop Road needs to at least have a traffic signal during the hours of 7 -9 am and 5-7 pm during the week. At other times it could be a flashing caution light. I had to wait for 49 vehicles to pass, most of them turning onto Red Cedar Rd from Middle Sound, just to get out of the subdivision to go to work one morning. Those of us who live on Red Cedar have to jump onto the curb sometimes when checking our mailboxes (boxes frequently vandalized)in order to avoid being hit by cars speeding by. The road is wide enough to have centerlines painted and a pedestrian walkway marked. We tried several years ago to have DOT do something about the speeding, but since no one has been killed, nothing was done. There were some small speed bumps put in some areas, but people just speed up to cross them. You hardly feel it when you go over them, since they are so small. We need some relief from all the cut fhrough traffic.
