I'm assuming this is talking about the light for eastbound traffic? If so, I completely agree. The left turn signal is literally about 2-3 seconds long sometimes, with a full turn lane of cars sitting there, spilling over into the main driving lane. Meanwhile, the green light for cross traffic on southbridge is far too long; all other lanes of traffic just sit there waiting for it to finally change...long after any cars on that road have gone through.

These two issues combined are what I believe is one of the main causes for the terrible afternoon traffic on Old Milton eastbound.

In order to change the existing signal configuration and install flashing yellow arrow for eastbound and westbound left turn movements at intersections on Old Milton Parkway (State Route 120) corridor, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) approvals are required. We'll perform a traffic study and work with the GDOT to improve traffic flow at the intersection. For the time being, we'll adjust signal timing to accommodate traffic flow. We got necessary approvals from GDOT to install Flashing Yellow Arrow signals for left turns. We start ordering materials and scheduling the work.

Sorry for inconvenience. Left turn signal has been programmed to come up every time. We keep monitoring it to make sure it displays green arrow at every cycle until a new in-pavement sensor is installed. We are working on flashing yellow arrow signal project for left turn movements. Okay, just because Issue 6774768 occurred at the same intersection did not make it a duplicate, but thanks for taking prompt action. The green arrow was working this evening.

We installed flashing yellow arrow for all left turns at this intersection.

The City of Alpharetta has resolved this request.
