Description

The rank smell on George street continues though the original request has been "closed" BUT NOT RESOLVED as everyone walking past the funeral home can tell you. To be clear, I am not placing blame on the funeral home but only pinpointing the EXACT location of the fecal stench that has been ongoing now, for 8 months. What's going on? If the lines were flushed last week and the construction on Dwight and George should not be causing the smell...can someone identify the cause and properly resolve the issue???????? PLEASE and THANK YOU!

Agreed! It seems strange to pass the blame along and chastise people when they shed light on a viable issue - especially without fixing the problem. See click see click - where is the fix!??!?!? There is a deli across the street and the block is largely residential..frankly it's disgusting to smell sewage on and off all the time.

Yay, its been acknowledged. I know its 8 MONTHS waiting for resolution. Perhaps contacting your alder and the mayors office seeing its election time may help you see resolution in 2019!

We, at Public Works check the external drains and if we find them clear we refer to Engineering for further investigation and work.

Just letting y’all know that the smell is intermittent but when it’s there...whoa! It’s really strong and really bad. I’m writing again because the first time I smelled it, it was still warm which I thought might have contributed to the intensity of the smell. But it was in the low 30s when I walked by today and the stink was strong
