Wow, 7 family's now living on this short stretch of newhall street, 6 RVs and one van. I don't even feel comfortable taking my dog for a walk here after work, we have to drive out of the neighborhood for our daily walks. This tiny 3 block neighborhood nestled between 880 and the shopping center truly is the wild Wild West of San Jose, anything goes....
Agreed... I wonder how we received support last year on this-- there were tags and movement happening. Now-- I'm surprised to not see barbecues happening outside if them.
I am trying a different approach in my neighborhood, Roosevelt Park. I am going to see if San Jose Environmental Services will initiate enforcement action. The campers in our area have been seen dumping human waste in empty lots and on the streets.
See Click Fix---- help! How can we take more action on this? How do we get the city to post a sign saying "no overnight camper/RV parking"?-- they are LIVING here for free. Just yesterday I saw a man cooking outside his RV with propane and a stove-- chairs and table outside his RV while his neighbor was emptying his loads of trash on the sidewalk. The man cooking has a majority of his stuff outside his RV.
Also the white van is back. This van has been seen engaging in sales of some sort out of the back.
I've been calling twice a week. My call today seemed promising. We can also report these RVs that never move to abandoned vehicles, I think I'll start doing that tomorrow.

I wonder who we need to contact from the city?

Thanks iCitizen!! Your efforts paid off---- the permanent campers are gone. I will close the issue. We can reopen as needed.
Thanks!!!!!!
