This site was inspected 9/10/19. Driveway is pre-existing and legal

What’s the procedure to decommission old driveways like this that may no longer be able to serve the actual car-passage purpose? Reclaiming street parking spaces like this would obviously be in the public interest. So what’s the procedure to follow here?

Warren, no one said this was a zoning issue. Nevertheless, this is a valid question to the city. So either you or the Response Center should reassign this ticket appropriately so this question could be answered.

As Per Zoning Director, City cannot force the owner to restore the Curb, It is a Pre-existing condition. The owner can work to restore the curb if there is no easement with the property next to it. You can speak with the City Council Person who can work on a ordinance if required for this type of issue.

Curb cuts are in the domain of the city (not owners) - this was stated multiple times on this site. So isn't it the same with curb restorations? That is, it is purely the city who's responsible for anything to do with the curb cuts - either making the cuts, or restoring/forcing the curbs to the uncut state (e.g. if the owner makes an illegal cut). Then why do you say that "the owner can work to restore the curb"?

Can we please have an answer to this?

According to Zoning, This particular driveway is a pre-existing condition and is legal driveway under that definition.
