quickest way to get trash removed from the sidewalk is to put it in the road, as pedestrians get treated like crap in this town, but if a car driver is inconvenienced for one second the road obstruction will be removed almost immediately (sometimes by a passing pedestrian who is participating in her own oppression)...

A scrap metal guy might come by first and grab it. That's worth 10 bucks.

Maybe that's what the fine homeowners/ residents of Bradley St. thought when they dumped it from their neighborhood onto a public thoroughfare.

If it's been sitting there almost 3 weeks, "a scrap metal guy" is probably not going to show up and magically whisk it away. I'm guessing it wouldn't be cool for me to dump my mattress in front of their sidewalk because "a tag sale guy" might grab it.

More likely the CT DOT dumped it there (because if you can't drive on something, it's not worth caring about...) - notice the fence post in the foreground - looks like it might be missing its fence. Anyway, trust me, if the crap pile moved from the sidewalk, into the street, it's like a magic spell: "crap begone!" poof - gone.

This should be taken care of in the next few days by the Bradley St. greenspace group.

Glad to hear it. It wasn't the DOT, np...Bradley St. neighbors cleaned up that little pocket green area with the help of URI resources...and then dumped the crap they pulled out of that area onto State St. nearly 3 weeks ago
