Now that the boat finally sank there have been at least 10-15 first responders there all day. The cost to the city I am sure grossly exceeds the cost of the vessel.

Cost of the vessel was nothing most likely. Somehow these people obtained it, managed to live on it but never made it run whatsoever. I spoke to a boat hauler who had already dragged it from several locations. These people were just evading the law and then finally let it sink. Alameda Police received dozens of calls Over 10 days but we’re never able to affectively deal with the situation. Please tell me what is going to happen when that disaster at crab Cove is built?

Hey guys why I am not even the slightest bit surprised that the same thoroughly worthless and corrupt city government that knowingly let a criminal trespass on me and all of my neighbor's properties and steal from them every single week for a year and a half straight let this happen?

Why am I not surprised that the same government that finally cited the thief after a year and a half straight of me calling the police every single week, and sending thousands of e-mails and making thousands of phone calls to the city manager's office, the mayor, the police chief etc, only to have the chief personally pay off their fines out of his own pocket (I am not kidding by the way) let this happen?

Why am I not surprised that the same thoroughly corrupt, thoroughly worthless city government that has ignored my request about the out-of-control homeless encampment and toxic waste dump at Marina Village shopping center for the past 6 consecutive months (https://seeclickfix.com/issues/5590465) ignored this boat until it eventually sank costing taxpayers huge amounts of money?

Yup ,months after we first reported it before it sank, they finally waited for it to sink, then cleaned it up ,and then even bragged about it on the official Alameda police facebook page pretending they're some kind of "heros" for the clean up even though the entire reason the boat sank was because APD ignored repeat complaints from residents about the boat. A corrupt and worthless pile of trash police department.
