These aren't illegal. The City doesn't own the grass strip. Besides, you got free speech issues that will get the City in big trouble.

Yes they are illegal and all campaigns have been notified to remove them or be fined. It is state and local law. PW is suppose to remove and fine for each. And again the campaigns were given a warning. Curb strip is city (public) property.

Imagine how bad our city would look if every candidate put signs were ever they want. It got so bad in some citys that the residents have to register to even have a sign.

Harp signs are down on this corner still a Henry sign up.
But Harp signs still up on 2 or the three corners illegally Orchard and Frontage.

Parks and DPW have removed the signs from the primary. If you notice any that we missed, or new ones for the general, please open as a new issue so we can respond (use "Public Space, Streets and Drains" for ones in the tree belt, and "Parks Issue" for ones in a park if you can). All signs removed are held at DPW or Parks headquarters for a period in case the campaigns want to pick them up.

As a general rule, city agencies do not remove signs the day before an election or election day (and since election days are on a Tuesday, that means we usually don't get them from the weekend before). Most campaigns put signs in the rights-of-way right before election day, and since it takes us more than one day to remove all the signs that get put out, we could not ensure we are being fair as we start to remove them. Between now and Nov 4th, however, let us know on SCF and we'll try to remove improperly placed signs.
