I just have a request if the staff in the library let the patrons know that Library is a quiet area , now I know there cant be pin drop silence but I think notices should be put in places and patrons been reminded , cannot study , is there a quiet area in this library ? Everytime I come here its no quietness here , also in the back area by the coffee vending machine Thanks if something can be done about this .San Bruno library is even worse when it comes to noise Thank you hopefully something can be done about this

Thank you for asking about the noisiness in the Main Library. We will share your comment with staff and redouble our efforts to make sure we keep noise to a minimum.
We do have reason to believe that the situation will improve in the near future. Our elevator, which is currently out of service, will soon be repaired, allowing us to hold our storytimes and other programs in the downstairs auditorium once again. Soon, we should be returning to normal noise levels for the library. We certainly appreciate how difficult it can be to find a quiet place to read, study, and reflect. We look forward to restoring quietude very soon.
