This past Friday a kid was about to be hit by a car. Luckily the speeding driver was able to brake on time and light impact was absorbed by student's backpack. Hopefully bureaucracy is not in the middle when we talk about safety for pedestrians and don't wait for an accident to happen and be on the news before taking proper actions.

I have looked into this issue, it would need to be put in as a request to the Parking and Traffic Commission. You may do so by putting the request in writing and delivering it to the City Clerk's Office so that it may be put on the next meeting's agenda. Unfortunately the proper current signage exists, we will also speak to our Police Dept about more observation in this area. You could also speak to your city councilor about this issue.
