I agree! Fines are needed, to make it MORE costly for condo/apartment buildings to let their trash cans overflow than it is to pay for the proper number of dumpsters and trash cans.

Service Request number W056676-080513 has been closed/completed, the Health Department advises that this complaint is already open under a different request.The entire 2500-2600 block of Harrison is currently being monitored for trash and rodent harborage. Rose Pest control has approximately 10 bait boxes placed throughout the alley. Thank you

Service Request number W056679-080513 has also been closed and completed, the Health Department advises for this request that the Health Department has received a number of complaints for the 2500-2600 blocks of Harrison in the North Alley. The Department is currently conducting a survey of the two blocks. One property in the 2500 block where rat burroughs were found has already been required to clean out branches, leaves etc.. along the alley and back yard. Rose pest control the city contractor for summer rat abatement has also laid out over 10 poison bait boxes in the alley. I will close the 311 request as the area is being monitored.
