Allow me to clarify. The old couple who owned this house at 617 Barksdale since 1960 no longer own the house. We just bought it. If anyone parks directly across from the front door on Barksdale, the bus cannot make the left turn from Rumson on to Barksdale. My concern is that a guest will park there and that, unaware to us inside the house, the bus will not be able to continue on its route. If we are not home, there will be nobody there to move the car. I am simply trying to avoid that inconvenience for the City of Raleigh.
As it is now, anyone can park there, guests of ours or our neighbors. When we were renovating before moving in, one of our contractors parked there and the bus could not get by. Luckily we were home. But as it was a contractor working for us, we could have not been home to ask the visitor to move his car.

I would second this recomendation. Over the years I have born witness to multiple jams caused by when a bus could not navigate the left hand turn from Rumson Rd on to Barksdale Drive due to vehicles parked on the right side (as you head from Rumson Rd to Raleigh Blvd).
