Description

This car, belonging to a construction worker from the Hanover Northgate project, was parked illegally in the middle of a loading zone in front of Creative Growth, a studio and gallery for artists with disabilities, many of whom rely on walkers and wheelchairs, until almost 9:30 this morning. We have a white-striped loading zone in front of our building to enable the numerous Paratransit vehicles and families to pull up to our curb and drop off 70-90 people with disabilities each morning, starting at 8:30 a.m. We frequently have construction vehicles blocking our loading zone during drop off and pickup times. This worker came and moved his car only after numerous buses had already lined up and dropped off client artists, forcing them to walk in the street and up onto the curb, with difficulty. Can you issue the owner of this car a ticket, even though the car is no longer in the loading zone? I have more photos showing how much of our zone he blocked, how much traffic was blocked by Paratrasit vehicles lining up in the street, and how difficult it was for our client artists to move from their bus up onto the curb. The license plate number is 5MLP371.
