Description

This is a public park. Can someone from the parks dept please tell me why this gate is frequently locked.

It used to be locked on sundays, not sure why, but it has been locked on a regular basis lately.

I just spoke with interim Parks Director Christy Hass and she agreed that it should be open every day and will instruct her staff to do so every morning and close again at night. Sounds like this is a staffing issue. If this continues to be an issue, please post again and/or call the Parks office at 203-946-8027.

I have also been away for 12 days but today the park gate is locked. So, I want to reopen this issue.

Thanks for reopening. I thought this issue was resolved, but it sounds like the gate was locked Saturday as well, so unfortunately still an ongoing problem. I'll email Parks again and cc the Alders on either sides of the park.
