Agreed. After some improvement in behavior when the electronic sign was installed to tell motorists not to drive in the bike lane, things have got worse in the past few weeks. Further, cars are driving aggressively to overtake or undertake, adding to the danger.

Not sure what the traffic director means when he says "Officers will continue to monitor this location", I drive by their 4 times a weekday and have never seen a cop there in the past 9 months. A uniform standing there and glowering for a few hours would have a massive impact!

Agreed Linda, I have never seen any cops in that area. Seems like a boilerplate statement to me.

+1 I’ve never witnessed any enforcement and I have called the police department about this and they said they would “look into it”

I just watched again as a car drove in the opposing lane of traffic starting at Lincoln Dr in order to pass all the stopped traffic. The car almost got in a head on collision but pulled back in at the last second. This issue needs to be addressed as this is extremely dangerous

Just for reference, the electronic sign is no longer there, as of earlier this week. Was there for close to 1 year.

Another period of adjustment as drivers figure things out.

sign appeared and then disappeared again...maybe city is considering a smarter solution?? hope so.

Highly unlikely. The battery for the sign probably needs to be recharged which is why it’s gone. I reported this back in September and still haven’t seen any “traffic enforcement”

People keep driving in the bike lane and making two lanes of what legally should be one. They’re doing it even right in front of two motorcycle Burlingame cops. Isn’t this illegal? It’s at the very least unsafe. Who’s in charge of making sure proper traffic lanes and signs and ticketing are happening to keep us safe?

Again, this area is a complete wreck. This is from the morning commute. Look at all the cars driving in the dedicated bike lane. One of them actually almost hit a bicyclist.
