Description
Their road (E LK Sammamish Shore Lane SE) has become so treacherous for vehicular travel that they now can only go about 5 mph over it. He said it is deteriorating so fast he is concerned. There is alligatoring and cracks and holes and decay. It starts to get bad at about 33rd and gets progressively worse the further down the road you go. Down near his house (at the end of the road), the road is barely asphalt anymore. He said he believes there is deterioration happening under the roadway sub-base. This is the location of the Old Monohan Mill that burnt down many times. The charred remains of that building fire was used as the base for the road and it has long since decayed. He says that their community is going to be needing to replace their waterline that serves their residences as well very soon, as it is quite old and fragile. The hope is that both things could be coordinated for the same time. In any event, would like to start with a site visit and if it is to become a bigger project than maintenance, he would appreciate this being referred. But he wants it on someone's radar.
