Yes - it's been there almost 2 yrs. if this is the same guy. Living in the ditch adjacent to Doolittle Drive. Blue tarps being used as shelter. Garbage piling up & city water tapped into from sprinkler lines. Fire hazard and dangerous for this individual to be living in this location. Hard to comprehend Alameda Resource Officers can't find permanent housing for him.
Perhaps you could try contacting 211 for resources, and help this individual. I find it interesting that you know so very much about the situation (tapped sprinkler lines) and not be part of the solution. I have given him information, and he has not been there continuously for 2 years. He has sought housing: unfortunately, permenant housing is not available.
Don't know who Ms. Dolphin is, and I don't feel as if I assumed anything. But I do apologize for stating that you were not part of the solution. Being homeless is difficult. And resources very limited. Thank you for being pro active, and using 211.
