It's just the two sections there that I was talking about. I am not talking where the poles are. The poles have minor bumps.

During the past few years most if the Pinellas Trail north if Curlew Rd has deteriorated considerably. The entire section north of Live Oak to the Hwy 19 overpass is probably the worst section of the entire Trail system in Pinellas County. The lack of maintenance of the trail pavement is placing a negative mark on the entire Pinellas Trail.

This section has needed attention for years. Penny for Pinellas, right?

This has become annoying. They grinded the pavement down and from a visual prospective it looked good but, if you ride a bike over it it's bumpy as can be. They added asphalt to the side that we used to be able to ride around. When I ride over the asphalt sort of feels smooth. Why was this job left incomplete? Why don't they put more asphalt down? Don't forget there is another section like this nearby towards 19 that needs attention too. I almost fell off the trail riding my bike coming from the direction of the tunnel when I was trying to avoid the bumps. This technically is a safety hazard for everybody riding on this part of the trail! I know Pinellas can do better than this! Please fix the issues there! Get someone to ride a bike over the job once it's complete to see if it's bumpy. Thank you!

Yes. This needs to be addressed, please, before the rest of the asphalt disintegrates. Thank you.

This issue and it solution(?) is a microcosm of the problem with the trail. No decision maker rides a bike to experience the issues. They are also focused on trail extensions while ignoring the maintenance of the existing trail.

We are allowing a County jewel to decay.

I just posted my ride experience from two days ago on YouTube! https://youtu.be/dcay1Zyanlc They addressed the issue here right? They grinded the bumps down and it almost looked smooth but, as you can see and hear in my YouTube video that it's not very pleasant to ride over. It's a waste of taxpayers money to pay someone to grind down the bumps and not fix the issue. They need to ride a bike over whatever job they do to see how smooth it is. Please fix this problem! Dig this part of the trail up and level it out and pave it please! I will settle for even a level smooth sidewalk on the side. Anything is better than riding over those bumps. These bumps are a safety hazard! I am not going to let this go and I am going to make it point to get it fixed.

I know there have been recent speed bumps but, the rest of Pinellas Trail all the way down to St. Petersburg has had RECENT work done similar but, not as bad as this and this job has been put on hold.

I reported this in early October. It's almost 8 months ago. I almost wiped the other day trying to avoid the bumps. People avoid this part of the Pinellas Trail because it's a wreck! Please have someone fix this issue soon!
