  Hi, although there is less junk than in the past few weeks, there are still two tents on the sidewalk- today they had a futon frame and the back seat part of a car in full display- so thanks for trying to address this issue but we are not quite there yet....

  Wondering whether the city and UC is going to let tents and associated junk proliferate on this park as well. Since I first reported this, the sidewalk has been mostly cleared , although the occasional tent still occupies part of it. The issue is now than instead of 3-4 tents, there are even more there. And this is not the usual crowd of homeless and poor people— these are junkies and runways!!

  This problem persists. Not only has People’s Park become another homeless camp with dozens of tents that discourage any passage on the sidewalk that lines that side of the parks with junk in full display and noxious odors that waft from that area, but now a few tents have been installed on the next block, sprawling with mattresses, chairs and other items hoarded around these tents that are in fact blocking the bike lanes on that side. WHY is the city permitting this???
