Description

During construction the far right lane of northbound Edgewater Blvd is a no parking zone to allow for northbound traffic from 7:00 - 5:00 on weekdays. I travel that stretch daily around 7:30 am. Inevitably there is at least one car still parked on that stretch at least 2-3 times a week. I realize FCPD is ticketing these cars but having these cars parked in the no parking zone is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS as there is traffic in these lanes going 35 - 40 mph. When they come upon a parked car in the middle of their lane, it's a serious accident waiting to happen.
Simply ticketing the cars does not seem to be helping. Is there any way there can be tow trucks ready to go at 7:00 AM to tow these illegally parked cars? Perhaps that would solve the problem better than just ticketing.
