Several neighbors have witnessed these cars being ticketed innumerable times; the owner simply tears up the tickets—and the vehicles are never booted, because the owner has “connections” downtown. So whoever is ‘intervening’ to prevent booting/ towing of these vehicles is the corrupt city employee who needs to be fired.

when the new mayor comes in we should get together and have a meeting with him maybe we can have him collect all the past tickets over the past years.i think you right about this clown knowing someone downtown because a tow truck from superior towing was about to tow the tan mercedes away when the ower can running up the street and he was on his cell phone the tow driver left and the person pushed the car with a blk caddy up first st then on to hallock ave the car alarm was going off i dont know where they pushed it to but im sure its still in the area.

Our parking enforcement started timing the vehicles indicated last week, per your SeeClickFix reports. The vehicles in question have been issued citations and tows were ordered earlier today, as they have been found to be in violation.
As for your other inquiry, you are correct in noting that Transportation, Traffic, and Parking does not play a role in vehicle registration for tax purposes. However, I have inquired with our partner departments to see what mechanisms exist for investigating and addressing out-of-state vehicles that may belong to New Haven residents.
I will follow up with this information when I receive it.

@Mario That black caddie belongs to the same tax scofflaw who lives in the 1st floor apartment of 80 First St--and it also has a "temporary" marker plate, which expires on Oct. 25. At which time he'll forge (or otherwise fraudulently obtain) a new one, like he's been doing with his other cars for years and years.

Has anyone tried calling the mayor's office directly? Yes I know she is a waste but it's worth a try. She might want to pick up a few voted
