The Columbia Association removed the dead and dying bushes and requested that I contact the County to install new evergreen bushes to camouflage the ugly control box since the median is on County property. Will they be installed this fall or next spring?

Thank you for your enquiry. Howard County does not install or maintain plantings to obstruct the visibility of a traffic control signal cabinet.

The shrubbery would replace the ones that the the County had justified planting a few years ago at that location. Since the replacement would simply be respecting the County's original policy decision, it deserves re-opening action on this modest request.
