The Live Oak is a Grand classified tree and the Jacaranda is a SIGNATURE classified tree. That’s the same classification as the Banyan. You cannot trim or remove these trees without proper approval and permitting from the city.

Are you kidding me??!? The inspector’s comments are that the company is “working on the permit” and “its complicated”? So that’s how laws work with Saint Petersburg now? Good to know that I don’t actually need a permit to illegally remove Signature classified trees now.

So the tree will be gone before the reinspection and granting of permit. That’s total BS.

Ah. They removed the giant mango tree as well. Real winners all around. Can’t wait to welcome their next set of renters to our neighborhood. I bet they’ll complain about how hot their yard is in the summer.

I think it is all about developers. Whatever they say, goes. That is my opinion of the City. LIke anyone cares.......
