Description
On October 16th I attempted to enter the Jersey City Main Library at 1145 am. I have a 7 week old baby girl and we walk with the stroller. My stroller is heavy and I had abdominal surgery so cannot lift a stroller up stairs however "small." I rang the doorbell for handicap accessible entrance and no one answered. I then struggled up the main stair (one stair) to open the main entrance door and ask for help. I was told by an unidentified female staff member that I had to bring it up the stairs '"like everyone else." I left and will not be returning to this branch until I am able to carry my baby safely and comfortably for myself and her. That woman was extremely rude.

I am sorry you are yet another mother struggling to use the public library like other mothers. This is unacceptable.
