I found that's its taking more 120 days to get a 72 hour tow tag and weeks to get them towed. There have been 1318 reports of abandoned vehicles in the last 30 days with a few duplicates. So this is less than there average of 1600 per month. The city has been getting more than 20,000 reports of abandoned vehicles every year for years this has be costing the taxpayers millions.

Here's an idea why doesn't the city hire every towing company and give them a time frame to get the job done. Oakland has become The Dumping Ground for all kinds of abandoned cars. I agree with you I don't think the city even looked at these I think they have it on auto response saying yes we know we've received it yada yada.
