Description
I was recently involved and charged with an accident on East Brittani and Washington st, officer dispatched to accident scene stated I blew the stop sign, which was a false statement. After being in shock after an accident, I didn't need harrassment from a police officer, This issue goes well beyond painting stop lines and a 25 mph warning sign. According to the tow truck operator, "This is a dangerous intersection, there are many accident at this location". As you can see in the GPS photoI uploaded, you cannot see over the bushes on the right, they need to be trimmed. The Roots hair salon, on Washington st, obstructs your view, heading north on East Brittani. After you stop at the corner of East Brittani and Washington st, proceed with caution, you are now in the intersection of traffic heading south on Washington street, passing East Brittani.. You then have to look at your right a second time while stuck in the intersection, hoping not to be hit by another car, before you can proceed, it's a blinded corner, not giving you much time to react. Although I'm sure the Roots Hair Salon will not be removed from its location, this should be a one way road, although I know this is not possible. Citizens lives are in danger st this intersection. I should know, this results in points in my license, insurance increase, and the degreation of my character. I hope more people report this corner, as the accident will not stop with the Safety Commisioners recommendations. I hope to receive feedback, as this is an ongoing concern.
