Thank you for contacting the City of Huntsville - Traffic Engineering. The northbound approach to this intersection is still under construction and future lanes will be added as part of this project. During the morning rush drivers on Old Big Cove can expect a delay while waiting to gain access to the newly opened Cecil Ashburn Drive. Although this delay seems longer than normal it is the same green time as before Cecil closed back in January and overall is a quicker commute than drivers were experiencing along the Governors Drive route.
